Privacy Policy for Countdown Cabinet

Countdown Cabinet is a countdown and event reminder app for keeping important dates visible.
Information the app stores locally
The app lets you save event titles, target dates, optional target times, categories, yearly repeat choices, optional notes, reminder choices, and home-screen widget visibility choices.
This information is stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account and does not send your countdown or event information to a developer-operated server.
Backup export and import
The app lets you export your countdown data as a JSON backup file and import a backup file that you choose.
Export and import are user-initiated. If you share or save an exported backup file outside the app, that file is handled by the destination you choose, such as your file manager, email app, or cloud storage app.
Notifications
If you choose a reminder for an event, the app may ask for notification permission and schedule a local notification on your device.
Notifications are optional. You can use the app without enabling notifications.
Home-screen widgets
If you mark an event for a home-screen widget, the event title, category, date, and countdown label may appear on your home screen. Optional notes are not included in widget snapshots.
You control which events are visible in the widget.
Permissions
The current app build may request notification permission only when you enable reminders. It may open a system file picker when you choose to import a backup file. It does not request broad file access or access to your camera, photos, contacts, calendar, precise location, microphone, SMS, Health Connect, or health records.
Advertising and consent
The app may show clearly labeled ads in the main app. Ads are not shown in home-screen widgets, notifications, Settings, event creation, or event editing screens.
The app uses Google AdMob and Google consent tools for advertising. Google Mobile Ads SDKs may collect device, advertising, diagnostics, and ad interaction data as described by Google. Countdown Cabinet does not send your event titles, notes, dates, categories, reminder choices, or widget choices to Google for ad targeting.
When available for your region, the app provides a Settings entry point to open Google advertising privacy choices.
The app does not include developer-operated analytics, account login, cloud sync, or a developer-operated backend.

Accounts
The app does not allow users to create accounts and does not support logging in with an external account.
Data deletion
Because the app does not create user accounts or store data on a developer-operated server, there is no account deletion process. You can remove locally stored app data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app from your device.

Children
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app's behavior or third-party services change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
