Independent local controller for compatible legacy Wemo devices. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Belkin or Wemo.

iOS version 1.0.0 has been submitted to App Review. The App Store link will be added after approval.

What It Does

Local discovery

Find compatible Wemo devices on the same Wi-Fi or wired LAN using local discovery and descriptor probing.

Local control

Turn supported plugs and switches on or off, adjust supported dimmers, and refresh current state using local device requests.

No Belkin cloud account

The app focuses on home-network control and does not require signing in to a Belkin or Wemo cloud account.

Device organization

Save known devices, arrange Things, keep favorites, view details, and use local troubleshooting tools.

Who It Helps

This app is for people who already have compatible legacy Wemo devices installed at home and want a simple local controller. It is especially useful when a device still works on the local network but cloud or official app behavior is unreliable or unavailable.

It is not a cloud bridge, not an outside-home remote access service, and not an official replacement app from Belkin.

FAQ

Does it require the Wemo cloud?

No. The app is designed for local home-network control.

Can it control devices when I am away from home?

No. Your phone must be on the same local Wi-Fi or LAN as the devices.

Does it support every Wemo product?

No. It targets compatible legacy Wemo devices that expose local UPnP/SOAP control. Unsupported models may not appear or may show limited functionality.

Does it set up new Wemo devices?

The current public focus is controlling devices already on your home network. Setup features are intentionally limited while compatibility and credential handling continue testing.

Does it use Matter, HomeKit, Google Home, or Belkin cloud control?

No. Wemo Controller uses local Wemo device services where available. It does not implement Matter, HomeKit control, Google Home integration, or Belkin cloud remote access.

What device information leaves my phone?

Local Wemo names, IP addresses, rooms, and troubleshooting details stay on the phone unless you choose to share diagnostics. The app uses Google Mobile Ads, so advertising-related data is handled under Google policies.
